E.T.C.O WEEK. 😄

The part I liked about E.T.C.O week was high ropes at adrenalin forest because it was a challenge for me and my friends by seeing how strong we are on the high ropes course it was hard at first but then it got easier and easier when we went through it and Omaka Scout Camp as well because I liked archery even though I kept on missing the Bulls eye and when we maded damper and culling by the fire. When I got home I smelt like smoked eel which was yucky and gross as well 🙂😊😄🙃😑😑😓😓 and that day I was tired the next day.

This week for passion project we are doing Stone carving and class B is almost done their stone carving but this week we have made a messy workshop but luckily class B doesn't have to clean it up and now we have to do some blogging about stone carving we are blogging about what we have learned and what have we done in the last few weeks, Class B has done really well this week.

I was only a little girl I was born in the winter time... mother says that every time I get mad I would turn into a wolf mother was getting sick because she was having me...? Then it came to summer time that when my little brother was born. Mother getting sick again then father went to go and hunt for food for mother but that's when it was raining. Mother was cooking tea for me father and her then it was ready she tried to call out to him but he wasn't n the house then she looked outside he wasn't there either she couldn't open the door... Then she found the food that was in front the door she looked throw the plastic bag of food then she found a wallet in it... it was father's wallet so she looked around the place for him he was nowhere to be found... then she went into the rain and looked everywhere for him he wasn't anywhere until mother had saw people looking down so she ran over where they were then she saw father down there died she stared down at him there he was lying there in the water. Three men's went down to go grab him and put him in a rubbish bag and had taken him to the dumbester. Mother didn't know what to do without father she had to look after me and my brother mother kneeled down on the concrete in the rain then this man had umbrella over top of us then we went back home. Mother said every time I got demanding I would turn into a wolf... I want a walk!! No… I Want a walk… I said No? I WANT A WALK… SIGH fine we can go for a walk… But tuk you're ears in. So we went for a walk in the park…  (Man) Nice kids ma'am. See he thinks your cute. (Dog sniffing) RUFF RUFF! GROWLING…  GASP… I'm so sorry… Sorry! She ran off with me and my brother everyone started to stare at us while we were running back home. As I was six years old and my brother was only a toddler… Every time when I eat Mother said that I wouldn't stop eating I would start to chew on everything in the house like the chairs, the door the druse and the table..... As we grew up we had to go to school I didn't fit in with the other kids because they thought that I was a weirdo I didn't have any friends at school, None talked to me in my class everyone stayed away from the us in the classroom…. When I was in  preschool… I used to grab things, like a snake and it would be rapped around my hand then one time I had a Gray box filled with stinky things in it like a skeleton, a dead frog… A dead skunk that made the box smelly then when I showed the girls in my class they ran away and screamed… Then when mother was cleaning the deck and it was a sunny day I went to go find something and I found a dead frog and other dirty things that I could find….. I went back where mother and my brother were cleaning the deck and plopped it on the deck in front from mother. Plopped… MMM! HUH….. GASP!!! (SMILING) HE-HE….. Mother keep saying to me not to chew on things…. When mother was doing the dishes and I went to get something off the table then my brother tapped on mothers shoulder then she turned around and looked what was happening then the drink was just about to fall so she grabbed it before it had fallen to the ground.... We went to school and my brother didn't like school because he wanted to be a wolf instead of a human but me on the other hand I wanted to be a human instead of a wolf so I started to my homework in the kitchen until my brother came in..... Why do you want to be a human? said my brother... Because I want to.... But your not a human your a wolf that's what he said to me. I said i'm not a WOLF!! YOUR GOING TO SCHOOL IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!! Flip URHHH! GRRRR? You want to fight you can have a fight then ( she jumps at her brother ) (GROWLING) [Crash] (the glass brakes) you guys what's going on in here? (BLOT) ARGH! You guys stop it now!! (keeps chasing after each other) (whining) you guys!! SLAM!!! snigh. silents AME!! The next day I'm gonna be a little girl all the way home. I'm gonna be a little a girl all the way home. come on you slow pokes. YUKI!! come on we're gonna be late. ( a few months later ) (Whisper) I'm gonna be a little girl all the way home. I'm gonna be a little girl all the way home. Hey... wait... where you going? (gasp) huff huff. leave me alone. Hey what's wrong with you. let go of me. no just stop moving would you. ( Scratches) ARGHH. Ow whats wrong with you? (GASP). Huffing and puffing. A few weeks later. Umm mum I don't want to go to school today. Ahh why don't you want to go to school Yuki? Because I don't to go. And all of the kids call me a weirdo at school and none of them will talk to me and that's why I don't want to be a wolf anymore and I want to be a normal kid like other people in the school and I want kids to like me. oh... sweetie how come you never told me this before. well... I TIRED TO TELL YOU BUT YOU WOULDN'T LISTEN TO ME. I'm sorry Yuki. I'm going to bed now. Mum what happened to Yuki? umm... well... she's not happy with me right now. okay... well I'm gonna see what I can do to help her feel better okay. Wait Ame don't go and see her just yet. why not? because she needs space for a little bit. okay than. Few days later. Yuki sweetie are you okay? sniff. Go away I don't want to talk to you right now. okay then... well I got you something to eat I'll just leave in the doorway okay. ... well I hope your alright in there.

what I know about marea.

The time when I went to a Marae when I was up in the north island and it was a long time ago. The thing's that I know about my Marea is that I got to see heap's of people that I don't really and some people I do know.

In a Merae we get to meet new people and do other things. We have kai together we can play with new people if I didn't know anyone than I would greet myself to them.

What did I feel like when I first went to a Marae: when I first went to a Marae I was so shy because I didn't know anyone there that's when I was a little girl though I was so scared of other people until my mum greeted me to her side of the family.

What is a Marae like: A Marae is sometimes cold inside. some people sleep in Marae's some people celebrate sometimes do wedding's there sometimes funeral. some people do greetings.

what does greeting mean: greeting means that if other people are coming in to visit.

What do I think about kindness: Well, I think that kindness should be everywhere no matter what country you're in you should always be kind to one a another either you know them or you don't know them always be kind to them because kindness brings happiness to you and your elders even though you don't know them.




Why did I do this? Well my cyber smart teacher Miss Morgen told me to read an article about someone anonymously writing without anyone knowing it was him or was it a girl who knows? it because it was interesting to her and there was a lot of interesting words to describe the writing that he or she wrote filled with more words in it to complete the story that they writ.

In keyboard I have been learning how to do the keyboard with my right hand. I not right handed but  I am a left handed it was a it hard for me to get use to it. but with my left hand it was easier when I do it

Aim: To determine how different powders feel, look and react to other substances.

Method: 

1. Place one-fourth teaspoon (1 ml) of the four white powders on a sheet of black construction paper. Label the powders with your pen.
2. Study the powders with the magnifying glass. Examine what each powder looks like. How would you describe the powder's shape. Does it have large or small grains? Your observations should be written in the appearance column of the chart.
3. Examine the powders further by rubbing each powder between your fingers. Describe how each powder feels in the Texture column of the chart.
4. Determine if there is a smell to any of the powders. Record your findings in the Smell column of the chart.
5. Take the eyedropper and place a drop of water on each individual powder. Examine what happens? Do the powders dissolve? Is there a reaction? Write your observations in the Reaction to Water column.
6. Place one-half teaspoon (1 ml) of each powder in a separate jar. Add 2 drops of iodine to each jar using the eyedropper. Record what happens in the Reaction to Iodine column. Iodine should be handled with care.

The Crime

At approximately 7:15 a.m., Friday morning, Mrs. King, the science teacher, thought something was fishy as she walked down the hall and noticed that her door was open. She walked into her classroom and immediately discovered that the small aquarium had been broken and her prized gold fish were gasping in the sink. Beside the broken aquarium were the shattered remains of the pink piggy bank that had been on the shelf above the aquarium. A can of blue paint was spilled on the floor. Footprints of a barefooted burglar led to an open window. Bits of a white powdery substance were found next to the broken, empty, piggy bank. The only other item found was a half-eaten large chunk of chocolate candy.

When the police arrived they immediately began to gather forensic evidence.

Peg the Leg Height: 5' Alias: Lucky Lady \

Peg is a librarian known for hanging horseshoes and four leaf clovers in her library. Employees say she is so superstitious she insisted on carpeting in the library instead of laying tiles so she would not step on the cracks. She wraps construction zone tape around open ladders so no one can walk under them. Cola bottles litter her office, which she drinks with chocolate chunks. Her teeth are chipped from knocking the bottles against them. She is always throwing salt over her shoulder for good luck and keeps a salt shaker in her purse. Her alibi is that she was busy closing open umbrellas the morning of the crime.

Jake the Jock                                                                          Height 6'6"                                                                       Alias: Armchair Quarterback                                                                                           Jake the Jock is known for quoting statistics on every sport from boomerang throwing to sled dogging. His neighbors report that he is the neighborhood pitcher for baseball games. Last year a baseball hit him in the mouth and knocked out his front tooth. This has cramped his eating style of chocolate chunks, candied apples, and corn on the cob. His wife claims that on the morning of the crime Jake was rubbing his hands with cornstarch to keep them dry in preparation for an important baseball game.

Dan the Man Dan the Man Height : 5'8" Alias: The General Dan was wearing a woolen general's uniform with small holes when apprehended in the woods. He claimed to be gnawing on wood for moisture and insects to practice his survival training. His teeth look like a beavers from gnawing. His wife complains that she never has any baking soda due to Dan's compulsion about storing clothes in mothballs. He thinks the baking soda takes away the mothball smell, so he stuffs his pockets with the substance. Also, his wife reports that her giant chocolate kisses continually disappear from the candy cupboard. He blames their dog Patton, an English bull terrier, who patrols the neighborhood. His neighbors report that Dan loves the military. He was very regimented about playing taps on his bugle every day at sunset until an irate neighbor broke his bugle. Dan has been trying to save money for a new one.

Lou Lou Height: 5'3" Alias: Sweet Tooth

Lou Lou is so addicted to sugar that she never leaves home without it. She loves to bake sweet things and has an entire pantry full of sugar bins. She claims to have been baking her famous chocolate chunk cookies the morning of the crime (although not a morsel of cookie or chocolate chunk was left when the police arrived.) Lou Lou rarely wears shoes, which often causes her to slip and break things, especially her collection of ceramic pigs.

• Sticky, 'swirl' fingerprints were lifted from the aquarium and piggy bank. 
• The painted footprints were measured and were for 26cm feet. ( size 8)
• The chunk of chocolate candy was collected for examination. It appeared there were teeth imprints.
• The white powdery substance by the piggy bank was carefully placed in a plastic bag and taken to the forensic chemist for identification . It had very small grains and when mixed with Iodine it reacted making the colour brown. It did not have a smell.
